Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and can close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross residence income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in my nsfas their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to get more info wait until the last day.
